I am here to take you on a journey through the universe of Portuguese wine. My name is Sara Rozman and I’m a wine enthusiast. I was born in Slovenia, a country with a long winemaking tradition, home to the world’s oldest grapevine (the Stara trta in Maribor). In the past, I travelled a lot around the world, eventually falling in love with Portugal, where I moved in 2016.

Although my grandfather used to make wine for family consumption – a tradition my father later continued for a while – I wasn’t particularly interested in wine at the time. However, all that changed when I discovered the heritage of Portuguese wines, which completely captivated me.

My involvement with wine continued through my Portuguese family, with a father-in-law who also produces wine for family consumption, while my husband and I are revitalizing an old vineyard in Bucelas, one of Portugal’s best-known DOC (Protected designation of origin) regions. Renowned for my beloved Arinto – a native grape variety that produces exceptional white wines with aging potential – it is located in the heart of the Lisbon Wine Region.

I have turned my passion for Portuguese wine into knowledge through tastings and training as Winemaster, which I will share with you during private tours, where I present not only exceptional wines but also the terroir and the stories behind them.
